Cost calculator for 3D printing contract manufacturing

Our cost calculator works out the cost of your contract manufacturing in industrial 3D printing in just a few steps. Simply upload your STL or STEP file, choose material, colour and quantity – and you immediately get a transparent guide price for the additive manufacturing of your part. That way you can see the range your project falls into before you even send an enquiry.

How is additive manufacturing costed?

Pricing in 3D printing is based largely on the material volume of the part, the material chosen and the machine time required. From the uploaded model we determine the part volume and combine it with material costs and a machine hourly rate that covers depreciation, energy, maintenance and machine operation. Unlike injection moulding there are no tooling costs – which is why 3D printing is particularly worthwhile for small and medium series and for a large number of variants.

Who is contract manufacturing for?

3D printing contract manufacturing at S2S-Systemdrucker GmbH is aimed at industrial and trade businesses that want parts, spares, fixtures or assembly aids produced economically – from one-offs to recurring series. The guide price from the calculator is a first orientation; we agree the final costing individually, based on the material, the loads and the requirements of your part.
